What is the Hair Removal Treatment?

and it is possible to perform this treatment on any skin type and cutaneous conditions all year round.
Laser systems can perform hair removal procedures taking advantage of different selective wavelengths absorption by melanin hitting the hair shaft and destroying its follicle.

Laser hair removal represents an extremely efficient treatment.
The laser systems permit to treat in a totally safe yet effective way, light, middle and darker skin types with different colors and thickness of the hair, on almost any body areas.
What is the preparation for the treatment?
For successful results, it is necessary to shave the area that will be treated, one or two days before the session, with an electrical shaver or a blade.
It is also important to avoid waxing, the application of creams or cosmetics and sunlamps or sun exposure for at least three weeks before the session.
How many treatments are necessary?
It will take a minimum of four sessions to obtain an effective and long-lasting result, depending on the treated area, hair condition, skin type and the hormonal state of the patient.
How long does a session last?
The duration of the session depends basically on the dimension of the area to be treated.
The removal of armpit hair requires just few minutes. The hair removal of larger body areas like legs and the whole back, on the other hand, can require more time.
Is the treatment painful?
This treatment is normally well tolerated thanks to the combined action of the laser beam with the cooling system for a dual analgesic and protective effect on the skin.
What to do after the treatment?
Cold packs or soothing creams might be applied, immediately after the treatment, to reduce the redness and the light heat sensation that could last for few hours.
In the next 24-48 hours after the treatment it is strongly suggested to avoid sport or any activity that could cause intense sweating as well as hot baths or showers and alcoholic-based perfumes and deodorants.
It is also important to avoid direct sun exposure or sunlamps for about three weeks following the treatment. Therefore, it will be mandatory to use a SPF 50+ cream among sessions to avoid skin tanning during the period of the treatment.
What results to expected?
You could note an evident or even a total reduction of dark hair on the treated area as well as the reduction of the risk of folliculitis and of ingrown hairs.
