Laser treatment of cutaneous vascular lesions has progressed significantly over the past 20 years. Laser irradiation can selectively destroy specific targets (chromophores) within the skin by using an appropriate wavelength and pulse duration. The targeted chromophore for vascular lesions is the hemoglobin, lasers selectively deliver a specific amount of energy to those which will be removed with no injury to the surrounding tissue.
The vascular treatment may be performed with a fiber optic which is introduced in the vein to remove or percutaneously trough a cooled laser handpiece.
In particular, lasers are largely used for treating many types of angioma, leg and facial veins, matting and vascularised scars.
The Quanta System laser portfolio offers many possibilities to find the perfect choice for any needs of the vascular lesions removal.
