Steel and stents microcutting

The use of output power and high repetition rate diode pumped Q-switched solid state lasers is strongly beneficial for high speed and high accuracy micromachining on steel.
Many industrial sectors have been establishing laser micromachining as the preferred fabrication method in many precision applications, using this material.
Extreme and Extreme 2G, characterised by nanosecond (10-9 s) pulses, very high power, excellent beam quality and stability, are nowadays the ideal solution for fast steel micro processing.

Besides steel, Quanta laser sources are capable of directly machining a wide range of micron scale features in a large range of materials, including ceramics, metals, semiconductors, hard materials, polymers and glasses, allowing a strong improvement of the production yield and greater efficiency.
